  The charter of the training committee is to coordinate the Internet technological training for advanced networks on behalf of APAN.
  The committee adopts an open policy where training model could be in form of conventional face-to-face and hands-on whenever appropriate while remote classes and E-learning should also be adopted.
  The training committee will develop a set of guidelines on APAN training.
  1. The guideline would include how to select the training topics, programs, sponsors and partnerships as well as the training models.
  2. The training committee will represent APAN in contacting respective organizations to coordinate joint training or to support regional training conducted by regional chapters.
  3. The training committee will put together a training calendar for the APAN community.
  4. The training committee will coordinate all training activities while the actual organization of each training will be left under the responsibilities of respective organizing committee.
  5. The training committee will represent APAN in seeking financial support from training activities. The scope of the committee are :
    • The committee could/would not necessarily conduct its own training workshop, but it oversees the training activities in the Asia-Pacific region which includes :
      • training workshops during apan meetings
      • (Support for) training programs in asia pacific including ait, and possibly more Milestons/Plans
        • Support for - AIT/I2 Multicast Hands-on Training
          • NetSA by SANOG
        • APAN Training by APAN Conference Organizers
          • Ipv6 training workshop by John Barlow, AARNET at APAN Busan
          • Access Grid Training Workshop by JongWon Kim, KJIST at APAN Busan
