Session Chair & Speakers 1. Title: HDTV related demonstrations at Interop Tokyo/IMC Tokyo/NAB 2006
Presenter: Katsuyuki Hasebe (NICT), Keiji Harada (NTT Labs)

Abstract: This talk presents an update of HDTV related works in Japan. At the Interop Tokyo 2006/Interop Media Convergence 2006, we demonstrated HDTV streaming with QoS function at Jun Murai's opening keynote session, and redistributed several Uncompressed HDTV streams from GEMNet to ShowNet using IPv6 multicast. In the one source multi-use demonstration, we converted CompressedHD, HDVTS, DVTS, DVComm, WMT and JPEG2000 for the live streaming. We will report briefly what happend at Interop Tokyo 2006/IMC 2006.

2. Title: ResearchChannel: Think Forward

3. Title: Uncompressed HD Video over IP and its Stereoscopic extension
Presenter: Jongkwon Choe and JongWon Kim - GIST and Jinyong Jo - KISTI

Abstract:This talk presents an update on the GIST/KISTI joint development of cost-effective realization of uncompressed HD (high definition) video transport system over high-speed IP network, which is designed and implemented to support an interactive video-based collaboration environment with ultimate HD video quality. Technical updates for audio handling, dual-stream transport, and stereo-scopic extensions will be discussed in detail.

4. Title: Sharing Interactive High-Resolution Media for Advanced Collaboration
Presenter: Juwon Park and JongWon Kim - GIST

Abstract: Since year 2003, GIST ACE team has been working on high-quality video extensions for the AG. From 2006, this effort is upgraded to build technologies for "Smart Meeting Space" by enabling a smart multi-party interactive collaboration system for ubiquitous community environments. We are currently focused on integrating schemes such as high-quality media service support, user-friendly interaction (pointing/tracking-based) methods, smart tiled displays, and natural data/task migration schemes. Thus, in the talk, we would like to present our initial approach and current progress.
