APAN Routing Coordination Workshop |
| Co-Ordinator |
Akira Kato |
| Objective |
Introduction of TEIN-2 links made us a wonderful opportunity to
have access to European R&E networks with shorter RTT. But this
also triggered some routing mess on the APAN and related network
infrastructure. This workshop will discuss various operational
coordination especially its routing scheme, and propose a way
to enable efficient routing as much as possible. Its scope,
goals, non-goals, tools, topology, configuration will be
discuessed. |
| Session Participants |
For those who are routing coordinators of the R&E networks
in APAN/TransPAC and related networks should attend the work
shop to discuss possible routing schemes. Each participant
should have up-to-date topology information, configuration
of major routers and switches, routing table samples in her/
his laptop for materials of the discussion. Just "listing-
only" participants may be discouraged. |

smallest room which can accomodate the above people is preferred
- at least one (two if possible) set of screen (not necessary to be large) and projector

- tentetively it requires full day -- 10am through 5pm; if we will see a solution, we also have other operational issues to be discuessed.
- preferred to have a polycom with a capability of up to 3 remote sites if a few key persons will not able to fly to Singapore
- wireless network connectivity so that we can check feasibility of the proposed solutions on the fly |
