WG Report Application Area: - Cache There is a report by Mr Nabeshima which is attached at the end of this minutes. - Multimedia Since we missed the WG chair, Prof Sureswaren Ramadass (MY), we will discuss this at the next meeting in Osaka in 1999. - Security - (Immersive VR) The mailing list was made. We would like to hear from Prof Rick McMullen (IU) for further activities. Network Technology Area: - IPv6 - Design This WG is no more a WG under Network Technology Area. We still keep the mailing list of . Coordinator is again Mr Masahiko Fujinaga (KDD). - Multicast/Mbone - Measurement - RSVP The WGs of RSVP and Differential Services are merged into QoS WG. The chairperson is Prof Dae Young Kim (CNU). - Satellite Internet A document was circulated at the meeting. (*** The PPT file is also available.) - (Differentiated Service) Merged into QoS WG. 3. New WG Proposal -Television WG -Digital TV -HDTV, ... over APAN A new WG, television, was created. The chairperson is Prof Yang Hee Choi (SNU). 4. Server Development Coordination - Demonstration server - archive server - cache server - route/name server To have a attractive demonstration, we need a new group for special projects. Temporarily, the group is temporarily headed by Prof Shigeki Goto (Waseda U). 5. Initial configuration of bandwidth for cache, mbone etc. -(IPv6-Mbone Proposed) - to run regular or high performance Mbone in IPv6 for production usage Prof Akira Kato (U Tokyo) described that Web/HTTP on IPv6 is coming soon.
