APAN was and is the spawning ground of many Asian projects including the Asia Pacific Bioinformatics Network ( APBioNet ). Today, APBioNet is proud to endorse another new initiative, the Asian Bioinformation centers. Founded in Seoul during the eIMBL symposium, where bioinformatics leaders gathered to sign the 'Seoul Resolution' to inaugurate the formation of the Bioinformation Centers ( ABC ), under the aegis of the Asia Pacific International Molecular Biology Network ( A-IMBN ) and the e-International Molecular Biology Laboratories ( eIMBL ), supported by the Korean Bioinformation Center ( KOBIC ). The Second General Meeting of ABC will be held in conjunction with APAN 28th Kuala Lumpur Meeting. It will include the meeting of the Technical Committee and the ABC Task Force members who will deliberate on the plans for building the Bioinformation Centers of Asia. |
