Minutes of APAN Joint Secretary/Fellow Program Committee Meeting

1. APAN Bylaw

Francis  Lee made an efforts to make a draft version 1 of APAN Bylaw. 
He'll send it to Sec to distribute APAN members to request comments.


2. Membership Fee

CN changed the membership fee from $1,000 to $2,000.
TH newly paid the membership fee, $1,000. 
Indiana Univ admitted to pay for the membership fee and the amount is
under negotiation.


3. Hawaii Fellowship Program

Fellowship Program Committee had decided to travel-support as follows:   
KR 5(3), MY 9(3), TH 6(6), PH 1(0), SG 1(1), CN 5(3), JP 2(2)

                 * (x) indicate that the actual number of persons
                   came to Hawaii.

The total number of travel supported persons was 29, but
actually the 18 persons came to participate.


4. Hawaii Workshop/Meeting
Joint Techs Workshop  292 participants
APAN Meeting   91 participants
      ( 73 advanced registrations, 18 travel- supported persons)

5. Next meeting
   Aug 20-23, 2001 Penang, Malaysia


6. Others

The mailing lists are partially  obsolete .  The Secretariat was requested to check the whole mailing lists.
