APAN Multimedia/Video WG Meeting

Fukuoka Meeting Report---Multimedia

1- Multimedia Conferencing System (MCS) server is now running at Japan, and any APAN member     can use it. Any one wants to use it please send to omar@nrg.cs.usm.my to create an account and     help on using it. The server was used during Fukuoka APAN meeting, and two invited speakers had    given their presentation using it. Also an interview with a research officer from network research    group (NRG) in USM Malaysia carried on using it.

2- An election was held after the multimedia session to elect new chairman for multimedia working     group. New chairman (Omar Abouabdalla) and deputy chairman (Markus Buchhorn) was elected.

3- New ideas for multimedia working group like 3D multimedia conferencing system was discussed     during Fukuoka APAN Meeting.
