1. Title of workshop (or BOF):
Water and Information - Water Monitoring from Space

2. Short Description/Objectives:
Water related natural disaster and fresh water management (hydrological management)
are one of the urgent topics for human in 21st century.
Earth observation satellite and other remote sensing technology are powerful
tool to monitor water for water management and to monitor natural disaster.
In addition, it is very important to use Information technology, especial high speed
network to provide information derived from RS data in timely fashion.
This workshop is to exchange the information about the application of water monitoring
by Earth observation satellite and to compile user needs of such data delivery to practical
data users.

5. Contents based on slot (one slot: 1.5 hours, possibly with candidate speakers): 2-3 slots
