Juniper Workshop
Juniper Networks is sponsoring a technical presentation discussing Juniper
routers in Research and Education Networks and a free JUNOS tutorial both of
which will be held in conjunction with the 16th APAN Advanced Network Conference
in Busan, Korea. The Presentation/Tutorial is scheduled for Sunday August 24th
from 14:00-17:30 (2PM-5:30PM) in Room B on the 5th floor of the Busan Marriott
Hotel.
The technical presentation will include a discussion of Juniper Router
Architecture, discussions of several high performance research networks that use
of Juniper routers, and in depth examples of Juniper Research & Education
customers experiences with features such as: IPv6, Policy Routing, Traffic
Policing at the Campus Edge, Passive Monitoring and Intrusion Detection using
Port Mirroring, Wire speed filtering for firewalls, and Internet2's QBSS (QoS)
protocol.
The tutorial will be a combination of a power point slides and hands on
demonstration using a Juniper M5 Router. We'll take a walking tour through the
JUNOS Command Line Interface (CLI) during the live demo. You'll discover the
rich features of JUNOS, including:
. An easy-to-use interface that includes command completion
. Fine granularity of user permissions
. Ability to view candidate and running configurations
. Access to configuration change history with commit and rollback features
. Online documentation for quick command references
