Minutes confirmed with no changes.

2.    Update of TW projects by Prof. Heng-Shuen Chen

Prof. Chen covered the following areas relating to projects in TW:

• History of Distance Education in TW
• Development & Progress
• Applications
• Statistics
• Evaluation & Grants
• Future Prospects

3.         Update of Past WG Activities

Chair updated members of activities conducted in the last 5 years.  He also indicated the favorable response to the eLearning specifications workshop.

4.  Nomination of next WG Chair

An Jie from CERNET was nominated by Tan Hock Soon. The nomination was seconded by Zita. Tan Hock Soon also indicated that a co-chair should also be nominated by the next meeting.

5.   AOB

Zita initiated a discussion for the creation and sharing of “assets” of East Asian Studies material. She will send out a short description of the project. An Jie will help to distribute this to members for comments on participation.
