APRUNET/INTERNET2 VIDEOCONFERENCING BOF

This is to announce that there will be a "Birds of a Feather" (BoF)
session on international coordination of videoconferencing services
during the APAN meeting in Busan. Ted Hanss, Director of Applications
Development for Internet2, will lead the BoF on Tuesday, 26 August 2003
from 18:00-20:00 in Room E. He will present information on the 
Internet2 Commons Videoconferencing Service
<http://commons.internet2.edu/> as a model for national services and
invite discussion on such topics as international collaboration on
dialing plans and other policies, training of end users and service
coordinators, and the sharing of implementation experiences and best
practices.

All APRUNet representatives are encourgaed to attend and to also
investigate Internet2 Commons Site Coordinator Certification, which
allows member universities (APRU universities are included) to utilize
and interface with Internet2's videoconferencing facilities.

No registration or fees are needed to attend this BoF, but registration
is needed for the APAN conference </meetings/Busan/index1.htm>
