1. Title of workshop (or BOF): Usage Optimization for
Limited Bandwidth Links

2. Organizer/Chair: Dr. Gihan Dias

3. Objectives: Most of Asian countries suffer the
problem of limited bandwidth. Simple but unaffordably
expensive solution is to increase the bandwidth to
satisfy the demand. At the same time we have realized
that even given a bandwidth is not fully utilized.
Therefore we targeted here to explain some of
techniques to optimize the usage of bandwidth in such
links. Currently we do research on this area and some
of them are practically used in Sri Lankan University
Network (LEARN - Lanka Educational And Research
Network)

researchers who are interested in bandwidth
optimization
