1. Title of workshop (or BOF):  Asia Pacific Disaster Warning and Response

2. Workshop committee chair(s) and members: Elvidge, Fukui, Pakorn

3. Objectives:  To explore ways to improve the dessimantion of geospatial data related to disaster warning and response in the Asia Pacific region.

4. Target audience: APAN NR members and the operational disaster warning and response communities in the Asia-Pacific region.

5. Expected number of participants: 30-50.

6. Preferred time: TBD

7. Number of sessions (one session is 90 minutes):  Five
    A.  Operational disaster warning and response overviews
    B.  How can geospatial data dessemination be improved?
    C.  Web map services (Pakorn).
    D.  Digital Asia Network (Fukui).
    E.  GEO Initiative update (Elvidge)

9. Remarks(including special arrangement if any): Several speakers and interested parties may wish to participate via VTC.  The workshop may include one or more live demos requiring internet connectivity.
