Call for Proposal to Host
APAN Incorporated
2008. 4. 7

As a resolution passed at the Xian (Aug. 2008) and reconfirmed at the Hawaii (Jan. 2008) meetings, APAN is proceeding to formally incorporate the organisation. In this regard, APAN is seeking an economy that will host the APAN Incorporated (called hereafter, APAN Inc).

Any APAN primary member that can offer an attractive venue option for APAN Inc is strongly encouraged to respond to this CFP by filling out and submitting the form attached below. Although this CFP is the follow-up action to the responses to our previous Call for Intention sent out on Feb. 12, 2008, strong proposals from other APAN primary members will also be considered with due respect.

In considering the possibility of hosting APAN Inc, flexibility of lawful operations and financial implication of the incorporation will be some of the topics to be considered carefully. That is to say, APAN is seeking a place where tax burden should be minimal and due freedom/flexibility/cost-effectiveness of operations could be guaranteed. Contribution from the local economy, in cash or in kind, to support management of the APAN Inc could also be an item of interest, though not essential, to APAN.

Hosting APAN Inc may not necessarily be associated with hosting the APAN Secretariat. APAN is open to the option of locating the APAN Secretariat office independently of the APAN Inc venue. Therefore, the interested economy may not feel burdened to have to host the APAN Secretariat at the same time.

Proposals should be emailed to DY Kim <dykim@cnu.kr> by Friday, May 20, 2008. Your enthusiasm is cordially solicited.

Best regards,

Dae Young KIM
Chair, APAN Incorporation TF
